THUNDER'S STORY Thunder joined Appaloosa Acres in February 2012 as a 4 year old youngster who then turned 5 on March 8th. I decided to acquire him after hearing about him through the HOOF group and going to check him out with a friend, Randy Poss. We liked him immediately and though he was untrained to saddle and had had very little handling before coming to the Cupps' farm, they had done an excellent job of 'starting' him and he was very calm and accepting of being worked with and even sat upon. Bert and Thunder - 1st ride at the farm Before taking him in, Bert and Angie Gates and I checked him out one more time with the same final consensus ….. He was a 'keeper'. So, we picked him up once Bert and Angie were settled in at the farm, settled him into the herd and are happily watching him learn and grow up. Thunder has nice, suspended movement and is mentally and physically very sound. His future venue of activity is undecided at this time but it appears he could become a very versatile competitor. Bert is very pleased with his training progress.
